From Minneapolis, the journey to Bayfield spans approximately 280 miles northeast, typically taking around 4.5 to 5 hours by car via Interstate 35 and US Highway 2, passing through scenic parts of northern Wisconsin. 


Travelers from Madison can expect a drive of about 270 miles northwest, usually taking around 4 to 4.5 hours via Interstate 90 and US Highway 53, traversing through Wisconsin's picturesque countryside. 


For those traveling from Chicago, the route to Bayfield covers approximately 350 miles north, taking around 6 to 6.5 hours via Interstate 90 and US Highway 53, offering a mix of urban and rural landscapes along the way. 


From Canada, particularly Ontario, travelers can reach Bayfield by crossing the border at Sault Ste.
